What is St. Louis U. High Day?

The 3rd Annual St. Louis U. High Day celebrates the founding of our ancestor school, Saint Louis Academy, on November 16, 1818. These days of giving support the Jr. Bill Fund (formerly the Annual Fund), which makes the full SLUH experience accessible to our students receiving financial aid. Supporters of SLUH, especially our alumni, are encouraged to not only make a birthday gift to SLUH today, but to participate in the "SLUH Day Challenge" by recording a video and posting it to social media.

Why is St. Louis U. High Day so important?

Simply put: the young men of St. Louis U. High rely on this support. This year, direct financial aid is expected to rise about 7% to nearly $4.4 million, awarded to 40% of the student body. These awards range from $1,000 to full tuition of $18,000. The financial aid program of SLUH is unmatched in the area but relies on the generosity of alumni, parents, and friends to remain so generous. This is our mission: to serve young men based on their ability to succeed and not their economic circumstances.

Our goal this year is to raise $325,000 in gifts and pledges. Our Jr. Bills need your help!

Why make a tribute gift?

We're encouraging everyone to not just make a donation, but to make it in honor or memory of someone who made your SLUH experience unforgettable, like your favorite teacher, a Jesuit mentor, or a coach that pushed you to achieve your potential. After you do, consider uploading a video to social media to share why you're giving and use #sluhday so we can light up social media.

"I'm {name}, SLUH Class of {year}, and I just made my birthday gift to SLUH for St. Louis U. High Day in honor of {name}, who {reason why}. I nominate {names of 3 - 5 classmates or friends} to make their gift at sluhday.sluh.org and post their own video. Happy Birthday to SLUH!"
