Before St. Louis U. High Day

Subject: Join me in Supporting St. Louis U. High Day

Hi [FIRST NAME],

I am excited to announce that I am supporting St. Louis University High School during St. Louis U. High Day by taking on the role of a "Blue Crew" fundraising ambassador. You can learn more about St. Louis U. High Day at https://sluhday.sluh.org.

Donations received during St. Louis U. High Day will support the Jr. Bill Fund, the annual giving program of SLUH that ensures the full experience of excellence for today's students and their families. The need at SLUH is as great as ever, with direct financial aid levels rising about 7% this year to $4.4 million. More than 400 students are able to attend SLUH thanks to this generous financial aid, and it is up to us to keep SLUH accessible to families from all walks of life.

[YOUR FUNDRAISER STORY: Why are you fundraising? What impact has this school had on you?]

On Nov. 12, I hope you'll join me in supporting today's Jr. Bills with a birthday gift for St. Louis U. High Day!

During St. Louis U. High Day

Subject: St. Louis U. High Day is here - Support today's Jr. Bills!

Hi [first_name],

St. Louis U. High Day is here!

Please join me in helping SLUH to raise funds in support of the Jr. Bill Fund, the annual giving program of SLUH. The Jr. Bill Fund provides the resources to ensure all young men of promise are able to attend SLUH and have an experience of excellence, just like we had (or hopefully even better!).

I encourage you to make a donation because the need is real - as real as ever! - and our support impacts the more than 400 young men receiving financial aid this year.

I'm making my gift in honor/memory of [insert your honoree and reason why]. Everyone is encouraged to make their gift in honor or memory of someone who made their time at SLUH excellent. There's a field in the donation form to indicate whom your gift is in honor/memory of. I really hope you'll join me in supporting today's Jr. Bills.

If you’ve already donated, thank you so much for your support!

Thank you!

PS - Other than donating, the biggest way you can help St. Louis U. High Day be a success is by spreading the word. The young men of SLUH need our support and rely on us to make these online days of giving a tremendous success.

Subject: Only a few more hours left to give!

Hi [first_name],

Can you believe St. Louis U. High Day is almost over? Our class has already raised [$ AMOUNT YOU’VE RAISED SO FAR] for the Jr. Bill Fund on St. Louis U. High Day for the benefit of the young men of SLUH.  I am proud to be a part of the Blue Crew as a fundraising ambassador!

I am so thankful for the support of my community throughout this day - but the giving isn’t over yet! Visit my fundraising page at [FUNDRAISING PAGE LINK] and make a contribution to help us reach our goal.

You can also show your support by sharing my fundraising page with your friends and family on social media, or by encouraging them to donate at sluhday.sluh.org.

Thank you again!

Instagram Tips

Looking to harness the power of visual communication? Take advantage of the ability to communicate with potential supporters with impactful images and catchy captions.

Follow @sluh on Instagram.

Connect your Instagram and Facebook accounts. Make sure that your Instagram posts are automatically posted on Facebook. Connecting Facebook and Instagram harnesses the power of both social media platforms at once and allows you to reach a wider audience.

Find powerful images. People-centric, positive images will help you draw in new followers. Focus on sharing images that speak to your organization’s mission and your target audience. Canva.com is a great way to take your own photographs or a stock image to the next level. If you want to include important dates, statistics, or quotes, Canva lets you add text right on top of the image as well as provides you with a suite of photo editing tools.

Socialize! Like other supporters’ posts, and consider re-sharing posts that stand out and speak to your cause. Showcasing the stories and individuals that propel the mission of St. Louis U. High Day will help you gain more followers, recognition, and traction in advance of St. Louis U. High Day.

Use #sluhday, in addition to other creative hashtags. 2-3 hashtags per post is the sweet spot. Start with a branded or specific hashtag - like a tagline or fun phrase. Follow this with the name of the school that you support, then a broader hashtag tied to the cause (i.e., #spreadingthelove). Having a succession of hashtags helps with branding!

Create a regular schedule for posting. We recommend posting at least 2-3 times per week to stay in your followers' feeds! If you integrate your Instagram posts with Facebook, you’ll want to consider how your Instagram posts will fit in with your other scheduled Facebook posts. Consider making posts that show a chronological history of St. Louis University High School, if applicable.

Have fun! Instagram is a really playful platform, and the perfect opportunity to let the unique personalities, humor, and convictions of St. Louis University High School shine through your photos, captions, and hashtags! Instagram is a fantastic opportunity to relate to your supporters, showing them who you are and what you stand for.
